Important Issues of the Day

For some of us, just waking up in the morning is a major issue. For others, it is the color of their fingernails that day. Yet to others, it is making themselves look good by putting others down. To us, these are not issues, they are just annoyances. To be a real issue, it must impact not only your daily life today, but also your future. To have the ability to foresee the future would be nice, but not possible. Instead, we must watch, and digest everything we see in our government. Without us and others watching, our corrupt government would strip away all of the freedoms and rights we were born into.

Look at Ruby Ridge and Waco. In both instances, no one was guilty of any crime, just suspected. Yet, in both cases, people died at the hands of our "kinder and gentler" government. Who will be next? You? Me? If it is you, maybe then it will hit home. But of course, it will be too late.

In the motorcycle world, we have said over and over that we will lose the ability to ride our bikes. No, not the ability to ride them helmetless, or with straight pipes on them, but RIDE THEM PERIOD!!! With the spineless inclusion of mandatory insurance that has been happening in States in the USA, this will be a reality much sooner. By accepting this mandated insurance, the bikers or riders of those States have agreed that motorcycles are less safe than automobiles. Granted, they have no roof, nor doors, but other than cars and trucks hitting us, we are as safe any vehicle.

Have you ever ridden a motorcycle? Take a ride on the back of one sometime, with someone you know and trust as a safe driver. Let your mind go. Look around you, see how much there is to see with no roof or hood in the way. Put your arms out, feels like your flying.

The main thrust of SoLR is motorcycles, and the laws surrounding their use. Secondarily, but equally important, are a few other issues that could evolve into a steady erosion of our everyday life, as we know it today. This has already started. Be very aware.
